Call numbers identify and organize items near other materials on the same or similar subjects. Most of our call numbers are based on the Library of Congress classification system. (Some books in the PC Library are under the author's last name.)
Your call number is an exact location on the shelf for your book. When looking at your call number (e.g. QA17.1C98), read each section independently.

You'll need to note the status (Available), the Location (General) and the Call Number (PS508.T44 T87 2006) to find your item.
