A library database is a searchable online index of information.  Our databases contain articles, books, videos, statistics, images, and more!

Instructors recommend library databases because they often contain published reliable sources.  Since library databases are structured, instructors also like how you can refine your search results to a specific date range or to scholarly journals.

Library databases are not considered free "Internet" sources.  So, from off-campus, you'll be asked to log in with your MEID@maricopa.edu and password.

Our databases are organized by subject.

You can also search most of the content in our databases through One Search, our discovery tool.
