It's totally up to your instructor! Follow your instructor's directions. If your instructor hasn't included details on what should be included in your annotated bibliography, just ask them!
Some instructors might want you to include three parts in your annotated bibliography including 1) a brief summary of the source, 2) an evaluation of your source, and 3) a reflection on how you might use the source. However, other instructors might only ask you to summarize the source. On the other hand, some instructors might ask you to markup the entire text of a source, like an article, highlighting passages that you might want to cite and making comments about them.

The one thing that all annotated bibliographies (annotations) have in common is that they include a full reference/citation for each source. Consult Citing Help below for instructions on how to create full references/citations.
