The History Reference Center database includes a collection of historical video clips from the Video Encyclopedia of the 20th Century.
These videos vary in length from 1-9 minutes, and are presented in MPEG1 format.
To view a film, select a video link based on your internet connection speed.

Once you click on the video, your computer will begin to download it as an .asx file.
ASX (Advanced Stream Redirector files) files help indicate to your device which app can open the file.
Files that contain the .asx file extension are most commonly associated with Microsoft's Windows Media Player.
If you are on a device that does not have Windows Media Player, other apps are available.
