PC Library provides access to various streaming video databases, with well over 100,000 titles, to support your curricular needs. These titles include documentaries, feature films, ethnographies, primary source materials, and much more.
- Academic Video Online (AVON): Includes more than 66,000 video titles spanning a wide range of subject areas and over 30 video collections to access from American History in Video, PBS, Sony Pictures Classics, Film Platform, Counseling and Therapy in Video, and much more. Links can be shared through email, integrated into Canvas, or viewed in the classroom.
- Allied Health Video Collection: Videos on health care and the profession. Includes medical technology, medications/pharmacology, patient care, respiratory therapy, surgical technology, and the human body.
- Films on Demand: Variety of academic subjects, from producers such as BBC, PBS, Meridian, National Geographic, and more. Links can be shared through email, integrated into Canvas, or viewed in the classroom.
- Feature Films For Education: Nearly 600 new and classic popular title films, including some Academy Award winners. Includes some animation. The Firefox browser is recommended. Due to recent changes in browser security, Chrome and Edge do not work as well or at all with this library database.
- Kanopy: Offers a variety of documentary and feature films from an array of producers and distributors, including BBC Active, California Newsreel, and more.
- Swank Digital Campus: A nontheatrical distributor for the majority of the major Hollywood studios and many independent, foreign, art-house, and documentary offerings. Access to films not available for viewing will need to be requested.
