Students may be interested in becoming a Tutor for the Learning Commons or a Student Success Specialist.
Tutor:
Tutors provide one-on-one or drop in tutoring for students from a variety of courses. The Learning Commons hires Writing tutors (must have completed ENG101/102 or ENG 107/108) and Math/Science tutors (typically completes MAT220). Student Success Specialist:
Student Success Specialists attend the class they support and offer office hours outside of class. Typically an instructor requests and recommends a student from their class to become a student success specialist for the following semesters. However, students may also self-select to apply.
